According to Dr. Richard Wolfenden, an Alumni Distinguished Professor Biochemistry and Biophysics and Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, in one of his reports stated that, every biochemical reaction in the cell require enzymes to proceed faster, usually in milliseconds and that without enzymes, the same reactions would take about 2.3 billion years to complete, too scaring, huh? Absolutely scaring.
Now, since every chemical reaction in the body need to proceed fast enough sustain life and it takes about 2.3 billion years for any one reaction to take place without enzymes, how long would life hold on for such chemical reaction to happen without enzymes?
In his conclusion, Dr. Richard Wolfenden noted that there would be no life without these catalysts as both microbes to humans and need it to sustain life.
Many scientific studies over the years have concluded that life would cease to exist without enzymes.
